How to Customize the Wooden nameplates for home?

Banners in shopping centers often use ceramic or acrylic nameplates that are already equipped for display. What about the entertainment that sprang up around the artwork, though? Let's make some unique name tags out of scrap materials. In this case, you need only the foundational wooden name plates and acrylic name cutouts.

Note: You can also use acrylic name cutouts or name cutout stickers with any name plate wall design.

This article will show you the simple steps to take to build your own room name plate with acrylic colors and mouldit clay.

Materials you’ll Need?

  • Planter Wooden name plate

  • Gesso

  • Paint brushes

  • Acrylic colors

  • Pencil

  • Mouldit Clay

  • Moulding tools

  • Glue

  • Varnish

Steps to customize the Planter nameplate:

  1. Get the Mouldit clay for name cutout

The planter wooden name plates are a great addition to any front door. This potted planter serves double duty as a pretty shelf. Now, mix the resin and hardener of the mouldit clay and get the smooth and fine base for the clay work. To get started, grab a moulding tool and start making name cutouts.

  1. Stick the name cutouts with glue

After you've obtained the name cutouts, you can glue them to the base of the house plate. Wait several hours for the entire base to dry.

  1. Prime the base with Gesso

Now, prime the entire base with gesso. Make sure that you get a smooth and equal base with complete finishing. If needed, you can also coat the double layer of Gesso at a time.

Note: Apply the gesso to every corner of the base with the flat and thin line paint brushes. You can also use sponges instead.

  1. Apply the acrylic colors on the nameplate

Let the gesso dry completely. Now, with the help of acrylic colors, start painting the base thoroughly. Use a pastel color on the base and bright colors on the name cutouts. This will help you to make the name clearly visible to the visitors.

  1. Varnish the base thoroughly

Once you've reached a color scheme you like, give it a day to dry out completely. Finally, varnish the base. This will give your base a glossy finish and a surface that is as smooth as silk, giving the appearance that the room name plate was purchased from the store directly.

  1. Complement the space with creativity

Your personalized name plates for home is ready to hang on your walls. Complement the house name plate with plants or artificial flowers for crafty creativity.
